Tell us a little about why you decided to make a change? What were you struggling with before?

Starting a full time job out of uni led to some very bad eating habits and an extremely unhealthy mindset. There were nights when I would get home from work and go to sleep without eating dinner or I would snack to the point where I’d be too full to eat real food. I started every meal plan / 12 week challenge under the sun, very half-heartedly and would cave a few weeks in. I used to be fit and healthy but I also had all of the time in the world while studying, a luxury I didn’t have when I started working. Then, a friend recommended The Body Guide, something she had been using for a while with great results. I started living #theCElife and here I am today. Fit, healthy and STRONG!

You look incredible! You’ve obviously been living by #theCElife philosophies and practices – and stuck to it! What was it about The Body Guide that you found made it easy to make a change and stay consistent?

I’m not going to lie, the first few weeks were HARD! It takes longer than a couple of weeks to undo months/ years of bad habits. I guess what has kept me going is the results which surprised even me and more importantly how I started to FEEL both mentally and physically. The Body Guide doesn’t dictate what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Instead it’s a guide, I get to mix it up! The recipes are easy and quick and it has provided me with invaluable tips on how to eat realistically, allowing one treat (not cheat!!) meal per week. This is probably the biggest part of the journey that has made it easy to stay consistent. I have learnt that no matter how many squats you do, you can’t out exercise a bad diet.

Tell us a few things about what you love about how you feel and look, now you’ve been living #theCElife for 8 weeks.

Looking at photos from a few months ago, I literally just don’t recognise myself. I feel like a different person. Exercising is a release for me now, it clears my mind and makes me feel amazing. I no longer constantly punish my body with unhealthy foods or punish myself for eating treats.

Starting was the hardest part but it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. It has become part of my everyday life now. Worth every sore muscle and every early morning workout that’s for sure!
