Host of Saturday Disney and 2016 Rio Olympics social media segment Buzz from Brazil, the fun loving Australian television personality and producer, Teigan Nash is fast a #GirlBoss on the rise. Teigan prioritises her health, as she passionately stands for the right approach to women’s health, fitness and wellbeing. We recently sat down with her to chat about true health and what being one of The CE Women means to her.
What does being one of “The CE Women” mean to you?
Being a CE Women is a privilege! To think that I am among so many inspirational and motivational women truly is exciting!
What does being ‘truly healthy’ mean to you?
To me being ‘truly healthy’ is not just about nourishing our bodies, and working out everyday, there are so many other elements. I think to truly embody health you need to be mentally healthy as well as living a healthy fun lifestyle. So doing things like meditating or the equivalent to meditating, for example: I find yoga meditative, or going for a walk, I am quite an active person so for me these types of non-traditional meditations work. Living a healthy lifestyle, so nourishing our bodies is so important but also getting outside in nature, going for a swim in summer or running in the rain in winter, all are important factors. Remember everyone is different so while swimming in winter might work for me, for you it might be different!

I absolutely love The Body Guide, it has so many fantastic recipe ideas along with ideas for different workouts and other helpful tips to help live a healthy lifestyle.
The CE loves to celebrate inspirational women. Who inspires you, and why?
So many women inspire me! My biggest inspirations are the ones closest to my heart, my mum and my nan are such strong women in my life, they have both overcome so much in their individual journeys. Also my best friends, they fill me up so much, they make me laugh and they are all such strong, independent, motivated women!
What does a typical day in the life of Teigan Nash look like?
A typical day:
MORNING: I love waking up early, before the sun comes up! This is Teigan Time! Whether it is going to the gym, a yoga class or a walk this is when I like to do my exercise!
BREAKFAST: Come home eat breakfast, usually eggs, spinach and mushrooms or a delicious smoothie bowl! (I am obsessed with dragon fruit)
EMAIL: Then it is emailing time! I take time to catch up on my emails, run to any appointments I may have!
EDIT: I also catch up on any editing I have to do, or any script writing.
LUNCH: Salad time! My salads have no rules, jam packed full of goodness!
PM: Catch up with some friends for a chai tea. Hang with my boyfriend, just chill out in the afternoon.
WORK: Film + Script writing + editing + planning + organising
DINNER: protein, vegetables! Then maybe some fruit for dessert!
You stay healthy, fit and looking good all year round. What inspires you to live this way everyday?
It makes me feel good! I could choose to sit on the couch watch movies all day and eat chocolate… (hey sometimes I do!) but on the whole exercise makes me feel good! When I move my body I just feel fantastic, even if I am just going for a nature walk!
Is there a greater cause that you want to use your online influence for?
I believe that health and wellness and body image is so important in this day and age especially, with social media on the rise I think that young girls, teens and even adults need to look to inspirational, real women as their role models… I want to motivate and educate young women about health, wellness and body image, teach people to be confident within your own skin!
De-stressing, recovering and taking the
time to regenerate is often an overlooked aspect of health. What is your ‘go-to’ regeneration activity?
My go-to regeneration activity would have to be getting in the salt water! Everything is better in the ocean!!
Having ‘strength’ can mean so many things…what does it mean to you?
Strength to me means being mentally strong. I think we can all physically have strength but to have that balance between mental and physical strength is so important.
What’s the best piece of advice you would give to women today?
BE YOURSELF! I am a firm believer that to be happy and you need to own it in your skin! Be confident in who you are, for example… I love to listen to musicals when I go to the gym (YES SO RANDOM) but I own it because hey THATS ME, and all my friends know that and love me for who I am!
