The Experience: @jacquidorning’s 8 week story.

What inspired you to start living #theCElife?
I always want to feel my best.

Too often I was finding myself going through ups and downs with my body image and would train for a specific purpose; whether it be for an upcoming holiday or major social event. After I would find myself back to old habits and gradually becoming unhappy again.

The Body Guide and Handbook has encouraged me to rethink my mindset to continuously live a healthy and well balanced lifestyle, so I am always feeling great.

Your physical transformation is amazing! How are you finding your experience?

Since having a baby, I have been fascinated at how much our bodies change during pregnancy and how quickly they can recover. I was always keen to get back into working out (although cautious not to do more harm than good). Because The Body Guide and Handbook is customisable, I was able to start at beginner and safely work towards regaining my core strength. It’s been great to see the progression over time and makes me even more motivated to continue focusing on all elements of my health: nutrition, fitness and regeneration as well.

What has been the biggest hurdles and how did you overcome them?
Time. I believe everyone struggles with this! Now that I am a new mum, I’ve really had to commit to finding the time to look after myself too. Sometimes the thought and anticipation of doing a workout would be overwhelming (like, when and how could I possibly find the time?). In reality, most of the workouts from The Body Guide and Handbook are only 30 minutes or less and I can do them at home.

I’ve also had to make the time to focus on my mindset with nutrition. Remembering that it’s my choice to nourish and respect my body.

How do you feel now compared to when you started the programs from The Body Guide & Handbook?
Stronger in every way, physically and mentally.

My overall posture and stamina has improved and I’m focused more than ever on living a sustainable, healthy lifestyle.

What advice would you give to other women wanting to make a change to their lifestyle?
Don’t be daunted to make a change. The beginning is always the hardest, but it’s also the most rewarding. Embrace change, learn about it and make a way for it to become your lifestyle.
